Professor X has appeared in 11 live-action films X-Men Movie. Sir Patrick Stewart was the first to bring Charles Xavier to the screen in the 2000s X-Mena role he will play for the final time this December Avengers: Doomsday.

In Marvel Studios and filmmaker Jack Schreier’s Untitled X-Men restart, werewolf Star Christopher Abbott takes over as Professor X. He is 20 years younger than Stewart was when he first played the hero and eight years older than McAvoy in “Professor X.” X-Men: First Class. Unlike his predecessor, his performance has become more comedic because Charles is American, not British.
Beyond that what his explanation would look like is a mystery. during an interview colliderMcAvoy shared his advice for Abbott and said he hopes the actor will be able to bring his own unique style to the powerful telepathy.
“Strange, did we feel any pressure when we were traveling in first class? I don’t know.” mused the Scottish actor. “The nature of the reboot was really enjoyable. It felt like a different kind of movie, and I think it freed us from some of the pressure. And then we started marketing it, and the pressure all hit us.”
“But just enjoy it. Enjoy it, explore. Find something. Patrick explored what he explored, I explored what I explored, and I hope he can do something and bring something new to the table as well,” McAvoy continued, “Because we can’t just look at the same character the same way in 15 movies, you know? So, I hope he gets a chance to express himself.”
Even if Marvel Studios X-Men Presenting the “classic” wheelchair-bound Professor X, there was an opportunity to do something new with the character. The most radical way to reinvent Charles is to base him on the Karakoram-era version.

Samara Weaving (ready or Not) also stars as Emma Frost, starring alongside Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), as Nathaniel Milbury, the pseudonym of Mr. Sinister in the comics. Rumors point to Marvel Studios also releasing Apocalypse.
X-Men It will be released exclusively in theaters on May 5, 2028.
