I can’t believe the show did a 180 in just one week. My series of complaints were more or less resolved within the first five minutes – and then it just kept going! Let’s take a look at the specifics, shall we? This week we have, in no particular order:

-An interesting new twist on a pre-existing mythology,
-Someone besides Jooheon saved the world,
-Jooheon is selfless and cooperative with others,
-The consequences of Jooheon’s previous selfish actions,
-The situations that emerged matched some of his memories, but took on new dimensions that he hadn’t anticipated,

…and more! This…wow, what a difference this all makes. At least we have a hero who isn’t flawless, an island of perfection in a sea of ​​mediocrity, and a world that responds appropriately to his actions. It’s not that Jooheon faced that many challenges, or that he had to work very hard to overcome them, but the fact that he did face challenges made all the difference in the world.

Perhaps most importantly, the world around Jooheon actually matters in this episode. In a mysterious pool of evil, Erin must save the world. Imagine a world where the actions of multiple people can change things. The introduction of her brother George also created a great moment. George pointing a gun in Jooheon’s face as he ripped him apart and then telling him to stop talking like he knew everything was one of the most cathartic moments I’ve experienced all season. It makes sense, if you deprive powerful people of access to powerful items through the entire transaction, eventually they will want revenge, or at least stop trusting you.

The new angle of Jooheon trying to help Irene’s parents was also welcome. Not only is Jooheon trying to help people other than himself, but it’s also partly to do with the struggles he’s gone through in his past life, which creates a problem where his past knowledge only partially applies. If someone is able to do something he couldn’t completely predict, it means he may have new challenges to overcome (gasp) in the future. For once, I’m optimistic about future episodes Tomb Raider King And wonder what happens next. It feels good.
