M. Night Shyamalan (unbreakable sign, Split), the next film will be released next Valentine’s Day, and Warner Bros. has now released its first trailer and poster Keep.
All we know about the movie is that Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Tate Gordon, a reclusive architect who moves to a small coastal town to complete his latest project, where he meets an attractive young woman played by Phoebe Dynevor.
The trailer looks like a romantic drama focusing on two strangers falling in love, but this being a Shyamalan movie, you know something unusual is about to happen!
It appears that Dynevor’s character is actually a ghost, but there may be a slightly more complicated (complicated?) explanation for what’s going on.
“My new film begins with an unexpected conversation with acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks,” The filmmaker said in a recent interview THR. “He has sold more than 130 million books worldwide and wrote one of the most iconic love stories of all time, The Notebook. Romance is his territory. Mine is a little different. I’m fascinated by suspense and twists and turns and tension, and stories that leave you feeling a little uneasy long after the story is over. This feels like home to me.”
“We started from scratch with just a few questions: What scares you? What moves you? What makes you unforgettable? We challenged each other. We traded ideas and slowly weaved two very different perspectives into a thrilling supernatural love story. In the end, we told it in our own way. Mine through the film, Nicholas through his novel.”

From Warner Bros. Pictures, KeepStarring Jake Gyllenhaal, the film is an unprecedented collaboration between two of the world’s most creative minds: best-selling author Nicholas Sparks and visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan.

Gyllenhaal stars alongside Phoebe Dynevor, Ashley Waters, Julie Hagerty and Jay O. Sanders. Shyamalan directed from his own script, with a story written by Shyamalan and Sparks. The film is produced by Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Mark Bienstock and Theresa Parker, with Sparks serving as executive producer.
Joining Shyamalan behind the scenes are director of photography Adolfo Veloso, production designer Sam Lisenko, editor Noemi Presswick, costume designer Caroline Duncan, casting director Douglas Abell, musical director Gabe Silver and composer James Newton Howard.
