Watch 10-minute idol performances brought to life in hand-drawn 2D frames
bibury animation studio President Tanaka Motoki (also known as “Tianzheng”) played the idol performance video of episode 28 100 girlfriends who love you very, very, very much Anime series airing on Friday – with a twist. The crew hand-drawn more than 15,000 drawings to animate the 10-minute sequence, and this production line test video showcases all their hard work:
The videos contain all three songs from the episode, but the songs are muted for most of the film’s running time.
As the film’s description points out, many recent anime have used 3D animation in their concert sequences, but 100 girlfriends who love you very, very, very much The animation staff wanted to go back to 2D for the latest sequences.
Sato Hikaru Directed the 28th episode of the anime, and Haru Miyu Acted as line director and provided storyboards.
