After having swept the Tokyo Game Show, Hellheart Breaker has a new trailer. A mix of action, dating sim, dungeon crawling and roguelite elements, the game looks like a lot of fun and coming from Battlebrew Creations, who created the acclaimed Cusineer, we hope it lives up to its potential. The art style is really cute and the idea of going out and fighting monster girls in hell certainly has appeal. The isometric style and roguelite elements should make the game accessible, as it is a genre that has seen a large number of releases lately.

This is a refreshing combination of action, dating sim, dungeon crawling and roguelite, mixing styles and genres in one engaging animated game! Set in a smoky, neon-filled Asian-inspired underworld, you wake up in a forgotten room inside a bathhouse and soon become a new resident of Aashraya, the last remaining city in the underworld. With no memory of who you are and a sinister prophecy hanging over you, you embark on a journey to discover your true identity.
The monster girls you choose to date will grant you powerful new abilities, while the ones you leave behind will become formidable bosses that stand in your way. In this roguelite environment, you are trapped deep in the underworld, fighting relentless challenges as you make your way to freedom. When love and war have no rules, how far will you go to escape?
Aashraya, the world you find yourself in, is a land full of history, mystery and unforgettable characters. Meet various figures, such as a Naga princess, an Oni blacksmith, a Kitsune courtesan, and an Asura enforcer, each with their own stories, struggles, and ambitions. One of the many standout features is the romance system, where relationships have a direct impact on gameplay. Players can fall in love with different Clan Scions to learn their elemental abilities and powers, or reject their beliefs and potentially fight them. One sequence would be to date a character, gain their powers, and then use them to progress in the underworld.
Hellheart Breaker will be released in 2027.
