Kadokawa The anime’s second major promotional video and more cast members revealed Keiko Shibataof pandorobo (Bread Thief) Thursday picture book.

The picture book centers on a loaf of bread that also steals bread from the city’s bakeries.

The cast also includes:

• Ayaka Asai as pandorobo.
• Toyosaki Aki Play Nice pandorobo
• Junichi Suwabe as Panya no Ojisan

Kyogoku Takahiko (Love life! school idol project, Love life! Superstar! !, Door) is directing animation Xinying Animationand Chie Yamashiro (hunter × hunter, Parasite-motto-, Prince of Steps: Alternative) is the assistant director. Miyako Mako (You and I are complete opposites) is designing the character, and Mariko Mochizuki (Somalia and the Forest God) is responsible for the series script.

The animation will premiere on October 2.

Shibata published the first picture book in the series in April 2020. The seventh picture book, pandorobo to dessert prince (The Bread Thief and the Candy Man), shipping in September 2025.

The book series has a circulation of 4.5 million copies and has won many awards including the 11th American Book Award. Libro Picture Book Award.
