Summer is coming to an end and we’re starting to think about going back to school… or at least having those weird dreams/nightmares you still have even as an adult where you have to go back to school. Anyway, no all about the prospect of back to school is bad; For example, there’s our back to school sale!
Yes, that was our not-so-subtle way of letting you know in advance that our Back to school sale Period will return to our AllTheAnime.com store this year, starting Friday, September 4 to Monday, September 14! You can expect all the usual great deals: Buy One Get One Free deals, deals on Collector’s Editions, Early Bird Redux prices, for example, plus this time we’ve been working on some mind-blowing discounts on items for you too, so keep an eye out for even more ridiculous BOGOF and Collector’s Edition prices too! We’ll be sure to remind you next month too, but be sure to put it in your diary.
With all that said, let’s move on to another month of new pre-orders – let’s see what August has in store for you, shall we?
Its blue sky Collector’s Edition
We’ll be taking a short summer vacation during the first week of August, before returning with a new Early Bird for the 13th of the month. All of us here at Anime Limited are big fans of the “Super Peace Busters” creative team, the collective name for director Tatsuyuki Nagai, writer Mari Okada, and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka, responsible for titles including Toradora, Hymn of the heart, anohana…. and this, the wonderful thing Its blue skywhich we are delighted to offer not only on Blu-ray, but also on 4K UHD Blu-ray!
“Aoi Aioi, a second-year high school student, aspires to be a musician. Her older sister Akane’s ex-boyfriend, Shinnosuke Kanomura, is a struggling guitarist. Aoi and Akane’s parents died in an accident 13 years ago, and Akane gave up her ambition to go to Tokyo with Shinnosuke to take care of Aoi. Since then, Aoi has felt indebted to her older sister.
One day, a famous singer named Dankichi invites her to perform at a music festival as a session musician. At the same time, Shinnosuke returns to Aoi and Akane’s village after a long time away. Then, Shinno mysteriously appears, who is actually Shinnosuke from 13 years ago after traveling from the past to the present, and Aoi falls in love for the first time.”

Our collector’s edition of the film contains the film in every format (currently) known to man, with 4K UHD, regular Blu-ray and DVD versions all included here, and the film itself has Japanese and English audio with English subtitles.
We’ve also put together a whole host of extras for this one – inside the hard case you’ll find a Digipak to hold those three discs, along with a set of 5 art cards, one of which is serialised, a double-sided A3 poster, and finally, a 40-page booklet featuring interviews with the “Super Peace Busters” themselves, as well as interviews about music and art direction, plus characters, songs and instruments as the perfect accompaniment to a wonderful film.

While we opted to use the Japanese logo for aesthetic reasons here, we also added a J card to provide an English logo on the front of the case, as you can see above.

The standard edition Blu-ray and DVD editions also go on sale at the same time as this set at all the usual retailers; A standard 4K UHD Blu-ray edition will follow in the future (probably next year).
Pre-orders for this release open Thursday, August 13 at 5 pm; If you’re a fan of any of the other “Super Peace Busters” titles we mentioned, you can’t miss it!
NARUTO Shippuden – Volume 7
To complete the month we have, of course, another volume of Naruto Shippuden to maintain your collection of this beloved series!
Jiraiya’s fate weighs heavily on Naruto’s young heart, but his pain turns to determination as he attempts to solve Jiraiya’s mysterious message. Then the unthinkable happens: the divine Pain breaks through Leaf’s defenses and attacks the village directly!

Of course, this volume will fit perfectly into its shiny new Collector’s Edition Set 2: this volume comprises episodes 151-175 across four Blu-ray discs, featuring English and Japanese audio with English subtitles.
We will open pre-orders for Part 7 on Thursday August 20 in 5 p.m. UK time, with a release date of October 19.
Of course, look for more parts of the series to grow your collection in the coming months!
That’s another month in the books here (although, as you may have noticed, we still have some room at the end of the month, so let’s see if we can sneak in any surprises in there…) – as always, there’s a lot of things moving currently in the background that we’ll share more about once we get them!

Some “are we there yet?” Projects we would like to briefly address include the remaining volumes of BLEACHthat are underway and just in the approval process currently, and OSHI NO KOwhich we are also working hard on and hope to have more news soon. We are also working to accumulate all the ones we have left. Inuyasha releases so we can release them on a regular schedule and continue to make progress on important projects, including Macro border and Blood+. That’s the tip of the iceberg, of course, so stay tuned for our regular updates on new titles and new pre-orders over the coming months!
Until next time, take care.
