Popular online comics, online novels and comics under one roof
Seoul, South Korea – MantaThe global content platform has struck deals with major Japanese publishers to distribute comics globally, including Kadokawa, Square Enixcompany and Comics UP!, Square EnixThe company announced on Friday, August 7, that its global comics platform has acquired a number of popular IPs.
Manta launched the manga category as well as web comics and web novels in April, debuting with popular titles from major Japanese publishers Kodansha. The new release involves Kadokawa, Square Enix and Comics UP!, Square Enix’s global comics platform, expanding Manta’s list of Japanese publishing partners and completing the single-platform lineup covering all three formats.
The lineup includes many games with established fan bases. More than 300 new titles have been added, including Pharmacist’s Diarystrong performance in North America; Proud to be a villain: After stealing my half-sister’s fiancé and banishing her, I was doomeda twist on the villainous fantasy genre; Demons of the Shadow Realmthe new series comes from Arakawa Hiroshi;and tokyo ravensa mystery and fantasy novel with steady sales.
To celebrate the expanded lineup, Manta is launching a global promotion that includes the first three chapters of select new titles for free, as well as 30% off comic books, making it easier for new readers to discover comics.
