I spent August 11-13 on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, North Carolina, taking visual notes at a conference of executives who work for Ahold Delhaize USA. brought is the American division of an international grocery and products holding company that owns grocery brands such as Stop and buy and food lion.
As a regular sponsor of my venue Giantan ADUSA brand, I was fascinated to learn something about the business behind my purchases. It turns out that it is not an easy task to stay on top of a dynamic and unpredictable economy and adapt to the ever-changing needs and wants of customers.
There was a lot of excitement and enthusiasm throughout the three days, and the facilitators made sure that my visual notes were a big part of it. The boards were displayed on easels throughout the conference space as soon as they were completed, incorporated into slides and, perhaps best of all, time was reserved for a gallery walk on the final day, giving all participants the opportunity to think and discuss them. It was a great example of how to make the most of visual note taking and was a very rewarding experience.
Thanks to Ahold Delhaize for including me in the process! And if you’re inspired to explore how visual note taking can improve your next lecture or meeting, get in touch!
