Hello everyone, There are several more posts coming soon this year as there has been a lot of cartoon and animation related news lately and we have been taking note of everything and working on features and ideas.
Coyote vs. ACME Of course, it’s coming to theaters in August, as we discussed back in April when they released the trailer, and we’re excited to be back in theaters to show our support for the Looney Tunes material, like we did with The day the Earth exploded. But Coyote vs. ACME is just one of many ‘Announcements and news related to cartoons, along with new television show releases, upcoming premieres, shows that are still airing parts of seasons, and other shows that are ending their run.
Here you have all the cartoon news suitable for printing!
Let’s start with things that just finished a season, are still airing, or are in the middle of a season. Krapopolis I just finished and bob’s burgers and American Dad! Both have been airing new episodes (on FOX on Sundays, on Hulu on Mondays). the simpsons is only halfway through its final season, there will be more of them soon (also of note: Hulu is end later this year, and everything from Hulu will be on Disney+). All of the FOX shows have been renewed for a couple more years, mostly, well, most of the good ones. Less The good northof course. RIP. I’m still bitter about it.
in others the simpsons news, The Hilbert Museum of Califonria Art is having a the simpsons exhibition starting November 18. Besides, the simpsons Showrunner Al Jean said ‘never say never’ to a sequel to the much-loved hit and run game. Don’t hold your breath, but that’s very interesting. (Come on, Al, make it happen!) 
Smiling friends Sadly (but bravely) it met its end, as the show came to an end after three seasons. It’s great that they were able to end it on their own terms, and haven’t ruled out some kind of return one day (Aqua Teen or Regular Show style). I haven’t been able to watch the last two seasons yet, but I will and do a full report on it. Smiling friends Run here, very soon.
kevin It now has all its episodes on Amazon Prime. The epinomous main character, Kevin the cat, is voiced by Jason Schwartzman, and the human main female character is voiced by Aubrey Plaza, two of my favorites. So far we only saw the first episode, but we will report after finishing the series; so far, it’s super gross and fun. showrunner at kevin It’s Joe Wengert, who worked on big mouth.
Regular show returns on May 11 for Regular program: The Lost Tapes– but keep in mind that the animation may look slightly different and it’s not the fault of anyone who makes the show. They had to move studios and they have done the best they can with what they have. So please be kind to the creators because, again, any differences are not their fault. I assume the difference will be slight. We’ll see. Of course, I’ll probably talk about it here eventually. I’ve been meaning to rewatch the entire series. Regular showsince I’ve seen a LOT of episodes, but not all, and I’m not even sure I’ve seen all the endings, close to the end. And it’s really one of my favorite cartoons.
Regular program: The Lost Tapes will premiere a 30-minute episode internationally on Cartoon Network and HBO Max on May 11, with more to follow. In the US, the TV premiere will be followed by a streaming release on HBO Max and Hulu later this year.
in more big mouth-adjacent news, mating season is a new cartoon by Nick Kroll and will arrive on Netflix on May 22. To me, it looks great, touching, and gross (everything good cartoons tend to be, when I like them). And having them as anthropomorphic animals usually helps me like it too. They stole more seasons from us Domesticated (still bitter), but I guess this will do for now. I’m not huge big mouthbut mating season It definitely seems like it’s for me.
As for other Looney Tunes news, there have been many.
For starters, Looney Tunes joins Turner Classic Movies (TCM) as part of its regular programming. Since February, TCM has been adding the Looney Tunes library to its monthly programming and launched with Bugs Bunny as TCM’s Star of the Month for the first time. Additionally, Warner Brothers released over 50 more Looney Tunes classics from the vaults on Blu-ray, many of which were never released in HD. Yo love all these Blu-ray releases that Warner Bros has been making recently.
There’s a new 6+ minute long Lucas short airing at the Annecy Festival in June, and more on that here on Variety. I think it’s about football, and it also has Elmer Fudd, and I’ve heard he’s thought to (possibly!) play opposite the new cat in the hat movie that will hit theaters soon.
And Warner Bros. Japan has released a short anime based on the Looney Tunes characters titled Gokko Looney TunesThat’s totally adorable. The first episode is here (it’s only about a minute long!)
Finally, king of the hill is back for season 15 on Hulu; They will arrive on July 20.
