A heads up to blog readers: I’m teaming up with my friend Mike Monteiro next Friday (August 28!) to offer a 90-minute online workshop packed with information on MAKING BOOKS.
mike and i have decades of combined experience crafting books, graphic novels, zines, and unique and bizarre projects from start to finish, and we want to help YOU finish doing your thing! We’ll dive into creative project management, tackle print design, traditional publishing vs. “self-publishing,” The Dreaded Promotion Fandango, and whatever else comes to mind.
The topic depends on who is showing up and what they’re interested in, so bring us your specific dilemmas. (I also have it on good authority that there will be helpful creative people scattered throughout the audience, in case you’re looking for a good editor, printing agent, or other ally in your search.)
Making Books will take place on Zoom from 10-11:30 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, August 28.
